What is Hot Hot Fruit?
Hot Hot Fruit is a fruit-themed video slot built by Habanero Systems Limited, keyname SGHotHotFruit, catalogued as type Slots for the year 2019. It runs on a 5x3 reel set with 15 lines that are fixed — the rules state that "lines are fixed at 15", so a player cannot switch lines on or off.
Total bet is calculated as 15 coins multiplied by the selected bet level. How the Hot Hot feature works
The Hot Hot feature is what turns an ordinary spin into a long chain. Any 7 symbol on screen can randomly become a triple 7, letting a single symbol count up to 15 times in a row, while other symbols can randomly turn into doubles, counting up to 10 in a row.
Habanero is explicit that this "occurs randomly on each spin" — there is no button, no purchase and no set pattern that triggers it. Wild and double Wild symbols only appear on reels 1, 2, 4 and 5, substitute for every paying symbol, and — unusually for a wild — do not pay on their own.
That randomness is exactly why Habanero rates the game VERY HIGH volatility: most spins never get a long chain, but when the feature lands on the right symbols the payout jumps well past what the base paytable alone would give.
The paytable rewards those long chains directly: fifteen of the top symbol in a row pays 25,000 coins at bet level 1, against 4,000 for fourteen in a row and 1,200 for thirteen — a steep curve that a triple-7 chain, at up to 15 positions, is built to reach. Habanero groups symbols into high-win and low-win tiers, each with its own shorter payline, so the same doubling and tripling mechanic pays differently depending on which symbol it lands on.

Habanero's own name for the game is Hot Hot Fruit, but South African bookmakers rebrand it for their own lobby. LottoStar lists it as "Hot Hot LottoStar" — confirmed by its own game page at the slug hot-hot-lottostar — and Hollywoodbets has used "Hot Hot Hollywoodbets" artwork in its Spina Zonke section since 2022.
That explains shorter searches such as "hot fruit" or "hot hot fruits": players are describing the same Habanero title they saw under an operator's own name, not a different game.
The rebrand pattern is not unique to this one title. LottoStar's own Habanero catalogue lists twelve games carrying the same house styling, including Naughty Wukong, Mystic Fortune Deluxe, Laughing Buddha, Tuk Tuk Thailand and Wealth Inn alongside Hot Hot LottoStar, so the same studio content routinely appears under an operator's own name across its whole slots section, not just on this one page.
